Also, when reading/looking at this recipe and the photos, I was pretty sure it wouldn't work as described, so I tried it. No dice! It's terrible. The tofu won't roll as described, no way. You certainly can't roll it into a cohesive mass, let alone slice it evenly afterward. Dipping it in the egg mixture is a no-go, since it's a scrambled, crumbling mess. Also, there's basically no seasoning on the tofu, so it tastes bland and awful, in spite of the cheese and veggie bacon inside. Normally, the chicken version relies in large part on the flavor of the chicken, which is lacking here and needs something else to fall back on.

This recipe is a disaster. Don't waste your time. The author/poster should be very ashamed.D.S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/11039045124731919895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6244701948860837847.post-12260942917254708702013-10-27T20:40:57.542-04:002013-10-27T20:40:57.542-04:00Actually, I notice that this recipe is copied near...Actually, I notice that this recipe is copied nearly word for word from a food network recipe [ http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/tyler-florence/chicken-cordon-bleu-recipe2/index.html ] (with tofu subbed in for the chicken, of course). It would be nice to give credit to the creator of the original recipe, seeing as they're so similar.Sarah Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17776626124319849749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6244701948860837847.post-72121153228789122282013-10-27T20:34:58.164-04:002013-10-27T20:34:58.164-04:00Unless your tofu is fibrous, the photo above is ch...Unless your tofu is fibrous, the photo above is chicken and not tofu. Kind of misleading to use a photo of chicken cordon bleu and not what the recipe actually makes without adding a caption, isn't it?Sarah Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17776626124319849749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6244701948860837847.post-25413763238538659692012-02-17T12:10:54.249-05:002012-02-17T12:10:54.249-05:00This is incredible I just love Cordon Bleu and wil...This is incredible I just love Cordon Bleu and will try it at home asap.
